Chicago, Mel's Birthday, and Keegan!

Yesterday I went to Chicago with my dear friends Jennifer, Lisa, Mel, and Mindy. We enjoyed a girls-day-out and also celebrated Mel's birthday (Happy Birthday, Mel!!). We went to Taste of Chicago and pigged out. We also took a boat ride down the Chicago River which gave us an architectural tour.

Here are some pictures if I can figure out how to post them..... This first picture is of me & Mindy as we finally entered Taste of Chicago. We were both starving and could not wait to get some food!



This is me, Lisa, Mindy, and Mel. We were hot, sweaty, and tired of walking at this point.... and it was only early afternoon! We took this picture because we always joke about needing TUMS when we're together (we have a group of good eaters, ha!).... and they had a TUMS sample booth at the fair. It was totally us.





This is Mel. We celebrated her birthday in Chicago too. Our group has an official "birthday hat" which must be worn while we sing the birthday song. I can't say much more about our group; it's top secret. Happy Birthday, Mel!!



Jennifer took all of these pictures so there are none of her!!!! I hope to get more photos from Mel and will try to upload some including Jennifer in a future post. I would hate for you to not see her all hot and sweaty too. :)

Ok, now this is random but I wanted to share some recent Keegan pics too. Here he is as Mr. Potato Head. Always the comedian:


And, here he is playing piano. We think we have a born musician on our hands. I hope he gets daddy's singing voice or we're in trouble! :)

Hello, blog readers! I am blogging live from the hospital with Nathan as my guest blogger. If anyone is awake out there, you can feel free to check out my blog for updates throughout my hospital visit. I was having contractions at home so we were sent to the hospital around 10pm for observation. I was dilated to 3cm when I arrived. They made me walk two 40-minute rounds which felt like a marathon for me. I didn't have any shoes on and got to wear a super cute hospital gown though. Essentially, I'm here for false labor. Kennedy's Corner: The BIG FIVE

Happy birthday, Kennedy!!!!      To our sweet & fun girl! She's 5 today!  She LOVES to dress up whether it's jewelry, fancy clothing, or princess stuff.   Here's her latest-- a pink fur coat and sequins skirt.   Classy! She's nurturing.  She loves playing "mommy" to her baby dolls and caring for other people.  She loves to sing ( and I mean constantly ).   She is thoughtful and compassionate and loves to pray for others.  She can be headstrong and difficult too (just like her mother) but we're working together on that!    She goes to Pre-K 5 mornings a week and loves her teacher and school.   Her favorite foods are cheese quesadillas, pepperoni, and Ritz crackers.   Her favorite show is Curious George.   She's also obsessed with dogs whether it's pretending to be one, begging us to buy one, playing with a toy one, or asking every stranger in the city if she can pet th...
