Fair Season Has Officially Begun!
Hello! Well, it's our favorite time of year for Nathan & me. FAIR SEASON!!!!!!!!! If you don't know this, Nathan & I are BIG fair fans. We love both the county fairs and State Fair. We don't go as often as we used to now that we have Keegan, but I'd say we go our fair share (no pun intended). If you don't know this about us, then really you don't know us! :)

We went to the Hancock County Fair Monday night. We will try to go one more time probably before it closes later this week; then the Marion County Fair starts in a day or two as well. Each county fair is different and unique in its' own ways. They each have a different stereotype of people and each have different foods and food qualities. If you need to know which fair (and specifically, which vendor's booth) has the best of something, we're the people to ask.
The Hancock Co fair is one of my favs because it has free parking and free admission, so we can just stop by whenever! They also sell homemade donuts (75 cents) and have giant lemon shake-ups for $2-3. Their prices for food are much cheaper than other fairs.
Here are some pics from the Hancock Co Fair:
This is Keegan enjoying his free popcorn. It's the only fair food he will eat (is he really our son??) so we are glad for it!
This is Nathan & Keegan checking out a humongo-jumbo rabbit.

We also enjoyed (between the two of us): Lemon Shake Up, corn on the cob, donut, lion's paw (elephant ear), sassparilla, and pizza. That's not much for us but we were only there an hour or so! :)
By the way, we also listen to (and sing along with) the soundtrack for the old 1945 musical State Fair. http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/1044688/a/State+Fair:+1945%2F1962.htm Here's the link to hear some songs. Our favorite is the "Our State Fair" song which involves singing pigs. :)
Hope to see you all at the fair!!!!!!!!
