Happy Birthday to Nathan!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NATHAN!!!! :)

Today is Nathan's 32nd birthday. That's right, I said 32! I married an 'older man'. He actually left for Oklahoma this morning. So, we celebrated on Saturday. We went to the orchard in the morning and then in the evening we went to dinner at PF Changs which was delicious.

I'll miss him this week. He'll be gone 6 days total (2 in Oklahoma and the rest on a macho hiking trip in the Smoky Mountains with his 3 friends).

Anyway, Nathan, if you read my blog, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

In honor of Nathan's birthday, here are a few things I love about him.

1. He's pretty much always in a good mood. He thinks of the glass half-full and always puts up with me when I'm a grump.

2. He makes the best chocolate milk. He takes his recipe seriously; he won't even let me watch him make it. Really.

3. He's promised me a 'minute a day' of back rubs/scratches for the rest of our lives. When I'm pregnant, I get 2 minutes. It adds up and I always make sure to redeem my minute each evening!
4. He's a great dad. He takes Keegan on hikes and wrestles with him and even does diaper duty a lot.

5. He does man jobs. He has caught snakes at our house (even one that was indoors!) and also reaches things that are up high for me. That's what I call manly.

So... back to the orchard now.

We like the Anderson Orchard in Pleasant View (SE side of town: http://www.andersonorchardpv.com/). We went on Saturday and here are some pictures. I think we all had a good time.

As usual, we started with the concession stand. Nathan & I shared the apple cider slushee, hot apple cobbler with ice cream, and fried biscuits with apple butter. Seriously, you can't go wrong.

Then we let Keegan pick one of the free tasting apples. He is a picky eater but will always eat an apple while at the orchard. (Andrea-- do you like Nathan's shirt?) :)

I loved all the gourds. I love how different and fun they all are (praise God for His awesome creativity!).

Nathan & Keegan both crawled through the hay tunnel. I didn't think my pregnant body would fit, ha!

Then we played around the hay corral.....

Here we all are:

And, finally, they had lots of pretty mums. Mums the word!

Oh, and last... but not least.... I want to say CONGRATULATIONS to my friends, Rusty & Tabitha!! They welcomed baby Ella into the world in the wee hours of the night early Saturday morning. Ella and our baby will only be 3 months apart so they'll be instant playmates. We are very happy for this new addition to their family!

Enjoy your week!
