Coming Out Of The Closet.... About My Closet

I have a secret I want to share. I'm coming out of the closet.... about my closet. I've somehow let my wardrobe go. Really.....really go.

Over the weekend I decided to go through my closet. These are just a few of the scary things you would have heard me say while going through clothes:

-"I think someone told me I looked like a nun in this once."
-"This is so big and stretchy that I was able to wear it my whole pregnancy!" (obviously not a flattering shirt now that I'm not pregnant!)
-"I'm not a peasant. Why do I have this old peasant skirt?"
-"Really? What was I thinking with this?"
-"Would anyone under the age of 40 wear this?"
-"Add some tennis shoes to this skirt and I'm an apostolic."
-"Wow. I had this before Nathan and I were dating." (9+ years ago)
-"Is this men's or women's?"
-"This is about 4 sizes too big for me."
-"This is about 4 sizes too small for me."
-"This is about 10 years old."
-"Maybe the safety pin holding this hole together wasn't a great idea."

There you have it folks. It's true. Tales from an outdated, worn out closet. But, this story will have a happy ending because it means I get to SHOP! :) (Nathan, are you reading this?). :) Nathan would be proud; he always encourages me to buy myself things but I'm too STUBBORN and PRACTICAL to do so. I think I'm finally ready!!!

So, look out malls, here I come!

Man....I was looking for some pictures....darn! I recommend Kohl's and Old Navy for shopping sprees! Enjoy.
Mariah-- Funny you mentioned Kohls. I've never really shopped there much until recently. Now it's where I get just about everything. It seems to be a good match for the "stay-at-home -I'm 31-yrs-old look." ha!

Your timing of this post couldn't have been any better! My closet is the next item to tackle on my spring cleaning check list. I am scared. Very, very scared.

Jen - I'm going to give you some money, and you MUST take Amber and spend every dime of it one clothes for her. Drag her kicking and screaming if you must.
