Due to Popular Demand....

Due to popular demand from all of my blog fans, here I am with my seven dollar eyebrows.

BEFORE (random pic from last month):

AFTER:
I must note that it's the end of the day and I have no makeup on. There, I said it.

On a side note, my left eyebrow doesn't grow correctly due to a scar from stitches. I won't mention any names (Jeff) or what happened (fine, he 'accidentally' hit me with a croquet mallet when I was about 4)..... but it left permanent eyebrow damage, ha. The eyebrow threading lady in her broken English asked me if the scar was from a razor. Did she think I used a razor to shape my eyebrows at some point? I think not.

Was it worth it? You be the judge.

I think it looks great! I get threaded every 6 weeks and I love it. It does get much less painful. I've been doing it for a few years and it doesn't hurt at all any more (I've probably just lost all feeling in my eyebrow area). But you wanna talk about pain?? Try getting your upper lip threaded (yup, they talked me into it once). Yeah. I'll never do that again. EVER. It was worse than childbirth.

I agree with Tabitha...they look great! I know a place you can have them done for $5. When you are on the Northside at 96th and Masters, stop in the Southeast Asian Grocery store (right in front of Menards). My friend Tamina (she's Bangladeshi and a great friend of ours) will thread your eyebrows for $5. She does a great job! And about the upper-lip...yea...never had the guts to try that one but, have heard it is EXTREMELY painful!

I'm sorry I scarred you for life... I bought a croqeut set a couple of year ago, but I haven't opened it up yet... Care to come over for a rematch? I think we've got a bike helmet that you could wear...

You are my eyebrow hero, Amber...and a fellow game-scar-bearer. My scar is from playing Follow the Leader while using a horseshoe stake as a walking stick. I should have been wearing shoes that day...
