Give Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving, blog readers!!

For those of you who didn't know this, Nathan has been in Japan the past 10 days and returns Thanksgiving afternoon. So, I'm definitely thankful for his return! Reflecting over the past year, here are some other things I'm thankful for, in no particular order (except for number 1, obviously it was meant to be there):

1. Bacon - enough said.
2. The State Fair ran longer which meant more deep fried days of fun
3. Our health- sure, we've had swine flu and I threw my back out like an old woman. But, that was hardly anything and God got us through both.
4. Keegan's food progress-- While we continue to struggle with his sensory-related food issues, he has made a lot of progress over the past year. He has tasted so many new foods and gradually improves one day at a time
5. Keegan's preschool- Keegan started preschool this year and he loves it. He has grown so much socially and I'm very thankful for his teachers and school.
6. Keegan-- I just love this fun boy. He is such an entertainer and makes me laugh.
7. Kennedy. She is sweet, easy-going, and is a good eater. She brings me joy and puts a smile on my face every day.
8. God's grace-- shown to me over and over again
9. Family-- Our parents and grandparents and my immediate family too!
10. Carmex chapstick. Best. Chapstick. Ever.
11. Photography. I have really grown in my desire to do photography. I thank God for the desires He puts on my heart and for the opportunities He gives to me to learn more. It's something that brings pleasure to my life.
12. God's provisions. We have a home, heat, food, cars, and so much more. God provides lavishly beyond our needs
13. We have found a church closer to our home where we can be more plugged in with the people there. We are thankful for our pastor who reflects Christ's joy and love to us each week. And, we are thankful for the gifted musicians who lead in worship there. Oh, and we're thankful that it meets on Saturday nights (until it finds a new building) which means we can lay around Sunday mornings or go to IHOP. :)
14. Bacon. Wait, did I already say that?
15. My Birthday Club-- Jennifer, Mel, Lisa, and Mindy. Everyone should have a birthday club group of fabulous friends.
16. My regular babysitter, Sarah, who gives me much-needed breaks from the kids and allows me to accomplish more errands
17. Netflix. We are in love with Netflix. With 2 small kids, we are rarely out past 7pm. We get the kids in bed by 8 and have the rest of the night to watch a movie!
18. 30Rock. It rocks. It makes me laugh outloud, and not many shows can make me do that.
19. Nathan's job. It provides above our needs and also allows me to be a stay at home mom.
20. Ebay. I'm all about selling things on ebay now. It's been profitable.
21. Etsy (link). I could spend all day on etsy, spending the money I just made on ebay.
22. Our new ceiling fan in the master bedroom that took us 8 years to finally go get. It has a remote control. I am a control freak so having a control is great. Sometimes Nathan tries to sneak the remote to his side of the bed.... but I notice right away and demand it back. :)
23. Last, but not least, things WRAPPED in bacon.

I could go on and on but I'll stop for now.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving and be sure to reflect on all that God has done! Happy Thanksgiving!
