Christmas and More!

Tis' the season to be jolly...... or at our house, to have the stomach flu. That's right, Keegan, Kennedy, and I were all victims of the stomach bug going around last week. It wasn't pretty. Keegan and Kennedy had it together, first, and then I got it when they were done (actually, great timing since I was able to care for them before I needed care myself!). We canceled a Christmas party with friends at our house, did not celebrate Kennedy's birthday on that day, and missed Christmas Eve celebrations. However, we did sanitize the house enough to have everyone over on Christmas Day and I had enough strength back to host. We were very thankful for that!

Christmas morning we all got up and Nathan read about the birth of Jesus in Luke 2. We opened gifts next. Keegan was more excited to give gifts than to receive them which warmed my heart. He was most anxious to give me this Fossil owl bag that he picked out for me (entirely by himself- I'm not kidding! Although, Daddy helped pay!!!). I have taught him well; he has impeccable taste! It has a really cute liner in it too:
Nathan & I both got each other winter coats without knowing that's what the other person got which was funny. Keegan also picked out a shirt for his daddy-- Green Eggs & Ham, of course.
Keegan got a few gifts from us. A Wizard of Oz pop-up book, a Leapfrog Scribble & Write (helps him learn to write letters), a puppet-making kit, and some stocking stuffers. We also got Keegan his first set of golf clubs. I actually think they are nicer than mine!
Then my family arrived -- my parents, my grandma, my grandpa (on the other side), my brother and his wife & 3 kids. We had a full house which was fun. The kids got lots of cool gifts and we enjoyed spending time with one another.

Kennedy's first laptop from Uncle Jeff & his family:
My parents got Kennedy this car so she can ride in style:
People & presents everywhere:
The day after Christmas we celebrated with Nathan's family. I didn't take many photos since I was busy chasing the kids, but here are the kids that day.
And, an actual Christmas miracle-- getting all 5 grandkids on this side of the family in the same photo AND all looking at the camera!
We are healthy again, I think, and back to normal today with Nathan returning to work. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! We are thankful for the birth of Jesus and being able to share in that joy with everyone!
