Follow The Yellow Brick Road
We weren't in Kansas anymore on Saturday while we celebrated Keegan's 4th birthday! His actual birthday is on Tuesday, but over the weekend we had both sets of grandparents, 1 great grandma, and 2 cousins over for Keegan's birthday lunch.
I think Tinman......I mean Keegan....enjoyed the Wizard of Oz theme that we did. Most of you know that it's his favorite movie. I only had 4 day's notice (we were originally going to a restaurant but rescheduled for our home) but I was able to pull the theme together with some stuff from around the house.
I made a yellow brick road out of posterboard for the table and added an Emerald City centerpiece as well (that's last year's leftover Christmas wrap!):
I had an Oz greeting card that I taped to the front with all the characters on it:
For placeholders, we used Keegan's Oz pez dispensers and added everyone's names:
I slaved and slaved over the Papa John's pizza. Ironically, Keegan doesn't eat pizza either but we pretended:
I found an edible cake icing topper on ebay and added it to a Dairy Queen ice cream cake. Keegan still doesn't eat regular cake so we tried an ice cream cake which he ate only a few bites of before declaring that he didn't like it. My goal is to have him eating regular cake before his 5th birthday next year! :)

Blue icing is his favorite:
He opened lots of presents including a giant Oz board book that I found him on ebay (only $5 including S&H!).
His other favorite gift was a dinosaur that walks and roars from his great grandma:
All in all, I think he had a fabulous time!!
