Top 5 Foods To Bring Me
Out of a lack of anything else to write about, here are my top 5 food items that you are welcome to surprise me with if you ever want to bring me a meal (everyone is wanting to do that, right?).
1. PF Chang's Crispy Honey Chicken. (link) "Lightly battered and served in sweet, flavorful sauce over a bed of crispy rice sticks." This picture I stole from the internet does not do it justice.

2. Hoaglin's Cafe (link)-- Egg Salad Sandwich (on their menu it's "Bacon & Eggs- The Sandwich") OK, now I am not a someone who would normally pick egg salad off a menu. In fact, it's probably the last thing I would pick. This sandwich actually converted me. It's their well-known egg salad on toasted sourdough topped with applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onion. It comes with those crunchy kind of chips and a pickle. Thanks to Jenn & Mindy for introducing me to Hoaglin's.
3. Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza (link). Really, you could almost bring me anything from there. But, if you really want to kiss up, here are some of my favorites: Breadsticks with creamy parmesan dipping sauce (it's all about this sauce), Maui or Luau pizzas (ham, pineapple, bacon, green pepper, onion-- your choice of pizza sauce or BBQ sauce)... and their Spinach Salad (spinach, hard boiled egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon- served with their homemade warm sweet & spicy dressing).
4. Malibu Grill (link) - Thai Chicken Linguini. Now, this is spicy for me (Nathan would say that I even think ketchup is spicy so I'm not a good judge of spice). It gets my nose running but for you normal people I'm sure it would be fine. It's "Linguini with Thai chicken, bean sprouts,
carrots, green onions, roasted peanuts, cilantro and peanut-ginger sauce." It comes with their bread & dipping oil, which I use to put the fire out inside my mouth.
5. Last, but not least, everyone has to have some Mug N' Bun (link).... just once a year. Rachel Ray once did a whole feature in her magazine on this place so we know it's good, right? They are a drive-up where you can sit outside (although their website says they have an indoor section now which is news to me). They are known for their homemade root beer in frosty mugs, tenderloins, and onion rings. This pic is from their website of the onion rings:
It's not so good on the cholesterol, but it's OK once a year, right!?!
So, don't rack your brain any further. Now you know what to bring me for dinner!!
PS If you go for Mug N' Bun, please also pick me up some TUMS! :)
