HAPPY 300th Blogiversary!!!

THIS is my official 300th blog post!!!
Now, I actually think a couple of you have read every post. If they each take approximately 2 minutes to read, then you've lost TEN hours of your life on my blog. I'm so sorry.

My favorite post was when Nathan & live-blogged the birth of Kennedy (link). For those of you who missed it, we literally blogged from the hospital with live updates all throughout labor and delivery. You blog readers were right there with us (that's sounds almost creepy now that I just typed that out). All we were missing was live video feed, right?

Well, in honor of this random 300th blog entry.... I have a surprise! That's right.... my very first Amber Waves of Grain GIVE AWAY. It won't be a car; Oprah already did that. It won't be a child; they are already up for auction on ebay. It will simply be a SURPRISE GIFT that best represents me. Oh, and it will be cheap..... because again, I'm no Oprah.
Here's how my FIRST. EVER. GIVE AWAY. will work. I will be drawing a random winner from the people who responded to my Whoooo's There blog (link). Think names-in-a-hat method (this is very official and scientific). It is NOT TOO LATE to enter. You have until midnight on Wed, 5/12 to add your name. So far, I know everyone who has commented. However, if you are my crazed stalker and do not actually know me... you'll have to be willing to leave a mailing address at some point. Otherwise, I'll find you.

I'm feeling ashamed that I started my blog quite some time before you and I'm only in the early 100's for how many posts I've done! I always get excited when I see a new post on your blog, keep em comin! :)

Hello, blog readers! I am blogging live from the hospital with Nathan as my guest blogger. If anyone is awake out there, you can feel free to check out my blog for updates throughout my hospital visit. I was having contractions at home so we were sent to the hospital around 10pm for observation. I was dilated to 3cm when I arrived. They made me walk two 40-minute rounds which felt like a marathon for me. I didn't have any shoes on and got to wear a super cute hospital gown though. Essentially, I'm here for false labor. But, they are afraid to send me home because of how quickly I go into labor so I'm staying to be induced. ---- This is Nathan - it's 2:11 AM. Amber just got her epidural. She's at 4 cm. Kennedy's Corner: The BIG FIVE

Happy birthday, Kennedy!!!!      To our sweet & fun girl! She's 5 today!  She LOVES to dress up whether it's jewelry, fancy clothing, or princess stuff.   Here's her latest-- a pink fur coat and sequins skirt.   Classy! She's nurturing.  She loves playing "mommy" to her baby dolls and caring for other people.  She loves to sing ( and I mean constantly ).   She is thoughtful and compassionate and loves to pray for others.  She can be headstrong and difficult too (just like her mother) but we're working together on that!    She goes to Pre-K 5 mornings a week and loves her teacher and school.   Her favorite foods are cheese quesadillas, pepperoni, and Ritz crackers.   Her favorite show is Curious George.   She's also obsessed with dogs whether it's pretending to be one, begging us to buy one, playing with a toy one, or asking every stranger in the city if she can pet th...
