Official Start To Fair Season
This weekend marked our official start of FAIR SEASON!
Friday night we went to the county fair for the next county over. We are fair die-hards which meant going even in the heavy rain. Lucky for us, the rain didn't stay long and it cooled everything down. Perfect.
I should start by saying that it's our tradition to listen to the soundtrack for the 1945 musical 'State Fair' on our drive to every fair. The cutest thing was listening to Keegan sing along. We know he's our son; no DNA test needed here!
By the way, here's the movie trailer on youtube if you've never seen it-- LINK. It's a little cheesy but it will put you in the mood for the fair.
We went along with Nathan's brother (Jason) and his wife, Margaret, and little baby Emmet. We got the York Rite pizza (yum) ($6 for 6 1/2"), sassparilla ($1), and 75 cent donuts. You can't go wrong with any of those choices.

We checked out the antique tractors.
We visited the animals.

The kids got to ride the merry-go-round (Kennedy's first ride).
Keegan won some sunglasses playing cornhole. Look out, everyone, celebrity coming through.
And, laughed at llamas with funny haircuts. I'm pretty sure this one has self image issues.

So, get your fair game-face on! Next county fair in 11 days! Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to the fair we go!!! (insert whistles here).........
