Antique Treasures
I had the privilege of shopping for antiques yesterday with my BFF, Jennifer.
I found some great treasures with her help!
A set of 3 vintage glass tumblers that match the new colors of my downstairs. I feel very retro-hip drinking out of these.
I don't know what these are called but they are metal things that were used to stick flowers into. Our friend taught us to buy them to stick photos, old postcards, or other paper treasures in. I suppose they could also be used as weapons in a pinch. I picked up two.
A vintage folding ruler. I bought this to hold photos or other fun papers.
And, finally, this old metal (iron?) fireplace mantel. Or, is it mantle? Jennifer found this for me and actually had to talk me into it. It's teal and would look nice against one of my yellow walls. She promises to come help me find the perfect place for it. I'll have to take pictures of it once it's in its' final resting place. Now that I own it, I love it. I should always listen to Jennifer.
