Extreme Home Makeover: Amber's Edition- Day 3 Update
Yesterday was DAY 3 of our remodel project.
It doesn't look that different from Day 2, but I'm showing pictures because it's my blog and I can do that!
The painter trimmed the downstairs with the new yellow/gold color:
Again, ignore the yellow on the partitions. That's the old yellow.
View from our front room. Two walls in our front piano room are chocolate brown and I plan to leave them brown.
The coat hooks were hung back in our hall. I think the white looks good against the teal. Someday these will be filled with coats so we may not ever see this wall again.
Nathan worked hard to put holes in the walls and ceiling and ran wire. He's putting a big TV above the fireplace. I was totally against it at first... but then remembered that he lives here too! He's doing a good job and I'm sure I'll adjust to having a giant tv above our mantel instead of the cute decorations I had pictured. Here are some of his ceiling speakers.
I also haven't shared my new curtain fabric yet. My original choices were discontinued and impossible to find enough of, so I had to pick new. They are from the same collection though and I love them now. Plus, since the collection was discontinued-- I got them way cheaper. Yay.
The top material is for the kitchen (against teal walls). The middle fabric is for our living room (against yellow walls) and the bottom fabric is for our front/piano room (against yellow and some against brown).
A close up, of course.
Here's the kitchen fabric against the teal:
More updates to come as they happen!
