My Older Man
I married an older man. He turns 34 today.
For his birthday, I will list 34 things you may not know about Nathan.... from my perspective.

For his birthday, I will list 34 things you may not know about Nathan.... from my perspective.1. He's tall. (I married him to get some height back into my family)
2. He shaves with a straight razor
3. He goes turkey hunting but never sees any turkeys.
4. He went to college on a trumpet scholarship
5. He worked at McDonald's during high school
6. He knows only a limited number of colors. For the longest time he called all of his light beige/khaki type pants "white."
7. He makes the world's best chocolate milk for me. His recipe is top secret. Really, he won't let me watch when he makes it.
8. Up until this summer, Nathan has worn the same size pants since he was in middle school.
9. Because #8 is true-- this means he still owned his stonewashed purple Guess jean shorts when we got married..... because they still fit.
10. He gives a nice back scratch/rub.
11. He has a motorcycle..... even though it's broken at the moment
12. He's good a math & physics type things
13. He's a good singer
14. He likes to read in the bathtub
15. He lets me control the thermostat
16. He drove a light blue station wagon in high school.... that's right, a grocery-go-getter.
17. He's a talented IT consultant and owns his own business.
18. He does not snore.
19. He's a night person.
20. He loves chocolate eclairs (with the french cream) from the Hart Bakery. I think he'd marry them if he could.
21. His body is like a furnace when he sleeps. I like to put my cold feet on him to steal his body heat under the covers at night.
22. He drove a red Firebird when we dated which he later traded in for carseats and strollers
23. He's a cat person.
24. He has a super huge vocabulary and will always, always beat me at games like Scrabble and Boggle. I play with him anyway.
25. He was on the wrestling team and track team at school.
26. Am I really only at #26? This is so much harder than I thought.
27. He's been to Japan.
28. He always locks the bathroom door when he's in a hotel room bathroom
29. When we dated, he always wore khaki's. Never jeans. Never once.
30. He likes to fall asleep with the tv on.
31. He's good with finances and investing
32. He's going to have a hard time saying no to Kennedy. He is a softy for her.
33. He likes nice maple syrup.
