Christmas In July

Merry Christmas in July!! I know some of you are early shoppers, so here are five of your must-have items to buy your loved ones this year.

1. LL Bean Slippers (LINK) - For the man in your life! They are cozy and quality. And, LL Bean has free shipping now. Nathan has the moccasins ($59). There are a variety of styles.
They are wicked. Am I using the word wicked correctly? I'm trying so hard to be hip and with it these days.

2. Olliegraphic - Personalized Placemats (LINK)! I saw these on etsy.com from a shop called saratams for $18. I think they would be cute gifts for kids or families.
First, you create a custom character (like your Wii character!) that looks like the person you want to give it to:

3. Passport Covers. Know someone who travels? Etsy.com has several shops who make cute passport covers, for a variety of prices (depending on the fabric and complexity)! (LINK)
I've bought 2 of these from the etsy shop HotPinkLemonade where you can pick your own fabric, using a different fabric for the liner ($9):
4. Anthropologie Aprons. I love almost everything this store makes (LINK) , but I especially love their kitchen stuff. Their aprons make super cute gifts ($24-38). Tie up some recipe cards and a spatula with ribbon and put it in the pocket for an extra fun touch. They have ones for adults and/or kids!
5. Anthropologie Dish Towels. Oh-so-cute. I have one I received as a gift and it makes me smile when I'm in the kitchen. ($16-24) A lot of them are embroidered which makes them more beautiful.

Cute idea! I have already started my lists now lets hope I can remember to start shopping early insted of waiting for the last minute like last year!

love the idea of 25th of every month. every year I have the grand idea that I will have everyone shopped for by Dec. 1st and I will have bought something for everyone thatr reminds me of them, not something they ask for off of a list.

Hello, blog readers! I am blogging live from the hospital with Nathan as my guest blogger. If anyone is awake out there, you can feel free to check out my blog for updates throughout my hospital visit. I was having contractions at home so we were sent to the hospital around 10pm for observation. I was dilated to 3cm when I arrived. They made me walk two 40-minute rounds which felt like a marathon for me. I didn't have any shoes on and got to wear a super cute hospital gown though. Essentially, I'm here for false labor. But, they are afraid to send me home because of how quickly I go into labor so I'm staying to be induced. ---- This is Nathan - it's 2:11 AM. Amber just got her epidural. She's at 4 cm. Her blood pressure just dropped to 80 / 43 and we had a bit of a scare. She thought she was going to pass out and had some nausea. Kennedy's Corner: The BIG FIVE

Happy birthday, Kennedy!!!!      To our sweet & fun girl! She's 5 today!  She LOVES to dress up whether it's jewelry, fancy clothing, or princess stuff.   Here's her latest-- a pink fur coat and sequins skirt.   Classy! She's nurturing.  She loves playing "mommy" to her baby dolls and caring for other people.  She loves to sing ( and I mean constantly ).   She is thoughtful and compassionate and loves to pray for others.  She can be headstrong and difficult too (just like her mother) but we're working together on that!    She goes to Pre-K 5 mornings a week and loves her teacher and school.   Her favorite foods are cheese quesadillas, pepperoni, and Ritz crackers.   Her favorite show is Curious George.   She's also obsessed with dogs whether it's pretending to be one, begging us to buy one, playing with a toy one, or asking every stranger in the city if she can pet th...
