Country Living Fair 2011

Jennifer & I took a blogcation this past weekend and traveled to Columbus, OH for the national Country Living Fair!
The fair was in Ohio Village which was a cute area set up like an old pioneer village. There were tents and booths everywhere filled with antiques, homemade jewelry, art, and lots of fun, creative stuff. And, not to mention good food!

We shopped and ate our hearts out all weekend. We also went to the Columbus mall and even had time to catch a movie. Nathan stayed home with the kids and did an AMAZING job watching them and even keep the house clean!

I came home with some treasures. Some of these are for my house and some are for a cabin in the woods Nathan plans to build to rent out to hunters (hence the antlers and hunting magazines):

We also went into Country Living Magazine's Boothomatic where you could have your photo taken with a treasure. They'll select some of the photos for their magazine. I'm sure we'll get picked, right!?
We also learned a few lessons. Here are the top 5.
1. Don't judge people who are in line for ice cream at breakfast time. They are the smart ones getting it before long lines form. Ice cream for breakfast next time.
2. Daddy Warbucks from Annie might just live in Ohio. Or, at least a man who looks JUST like him with a license plate on his Mercedes that reads "D WARBUX".
3. Truckers still honk at women even if they are in their 30s and driving a mini van. Apparently, there are no limits.
4. My parents eat at China Buffet multiple times per week (We borrowed their van; you learn a lot about someone when you drive their car.)
5. Ohio State fans apparently take their clothes very seriously. They must be wearing all Ohio State clothes from head to toe at all times. No exceptions.

We had a great time!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Nathan, for holding down the fort!!!!!!!!!
