I just realized that I missed doing something big for my 5ooth blog post!! (this is #510)
How could I?
So..... you deserve something fabulous now. Something epic. Something ALL. ABOUT. ME.
I present to you, 50 more things you may not know about me. Here we go.
1. I'm not sure why I blog but I can't stop.
2. I'm currently addicted to hard boiled eggs. It took me several attempts to make them and peel them just right.
3. I'm convinced that my mom and brother had lots of secret fun together before I was born and then it all ended. He still teases me that they made donuts without me.
4. I remember when my grandpa drove me to driver's ed class and he flipped someone off in traffic, forgetting I was with him. I wasn't supposed to tell my parents.
5. If I had to pick one food to eat every meal for the rest of my life, I would pick egg noodles.
6. I went to a place in Mexico so remote that the children were afraid of me because I was white.
7. For the first few weeks of college our sophomore year, my friend, Michele, and I would intentionally pick freshman sitting by themselves to eat with.
8. For the most part, I've officially switched from pork bacon to turkey bacon.
9. When I was little, I always thought I'd have a daughter someday and that her name would be Stephanie Christine.
10. I loved my college job at Menards selling power tools.
11. I am often too practical..... and forget to be fun.
12. My favorite thing to eat at my grandma's house is a potato chip (just the kind she buys) with a piece of cheese on top (again, grandma's kind), with a sweet pickle on top (you guessed it- grandma's pickles). Delicious, I promise.
13. I was baptized during college.
14. My favorite drink is chocolate milk (if I'm not watching calories!). Then, Diet Rite Cherry Cola.
15. At the gym, I self-consciously pick the machines in the back corner so that nobody can watch me exercise.
16. I've slept on a beach under the stars.
17. I'm good at activities that involve aim and precision, but not so good at games that involve coordination.
18. I'm not a night person. If you can keep me up late, however, I will eventually reach the point of being slap happy.
19. I don't care about Harry Potter.
20. I don't like reading fictional books. It's just pretend.
21. I can barely read the small font on my watch that shows the date. I have to do that 'old person' thing where they move something closer or further away to read something.
22. I'm really stubborn.
23. My 2nd worse fear (after glitter) is probably Easter basket grass.
24. I religiously put on hand sanitizer when I get into my car.
25. My guilty pleasure is watching The Bachelor.
26. I haven't been on an airplane since 2005 but will be flying to Vegas soon!
27. My favorite color is yellow.
28. I have worn 6 different size pants in the past year.
29. I was a 4-H song leader despite knowing that singing is not my gift.
30. I liked the movie Mystery Men.
31. My friend introduced me to expensive summer sandals from The Walking Company. I will never buy cheap, rubber flip-flops again.
32. I love labor and delivery and I'm sometimes sad that I don't get to go through it again.
33. I won't order anything at a restaurant called Angus.
34. As much as I hate shower games, I have a special talent for winning them. I always come home with a prize.
35. I have been driving for 18 years and I've never been in any type of wreck or fender bender (knock on wood).
36. I'm annoyed by the backwards "R" in Toys R Us.
37. I use a lot of rubber cement.
38. I had two men tell me they wanted me to marry them when I spent 2 summers in Mexico. Only one of them spoke English.
39. I didn't get my first bee sting until I was about 30.
40. The first person to comment on this post with a comment including "Hardees Chicken Is Rippin", you will win this game. I can't believe you're reading this.
41. Roses are my least favorite flower to receive.
42. I'm pretty sure Indiana University's Showalter Fountain was designed to look like me.
43. In 2nd grade, my parents wouldn't let me ride the Dumbo ride at Disney World because it "went too high". Thrill seekers, we were not. That came for me later.
44. Dancing is not. my. gift.
45. My favorite bagel flavor is an everything bagel. But, I usually opt for brown sugar cinnamon so that I won't have stinky breath. (you're welcome, Nathan).
46. I love to eat raw pasta. Sometimes I eat my portion raw before the water gets to a boil to cook it. I know, I've said too much.
47. I originally asked to play the drums but was asked to pick a different instrument. Good thing, since I have little coordination.
48. I dressed Nathan and me as Howie Mandel and a Deal or No Deal woman for Halloween one year.
49. My friend, Michele, and I visited the Brownville TX zoo where an angry gorilla charged at us through the glass and we ran off screaming. We're still a little traumatized.
