Vegas Or Bust!

My idea of vacation is when I go the hospital to have another baby. I love it. I take full advantage of the nursery staff, I take long showers, and I order french toast from my bed in the morning. I LOVE going to the hospital to have more babies. However, there are too many long term costs with more babies.... so this time we've opted for a REAL vacation! That's right, VEGAS OR BUST!
This trip is a rare opportunity for us. We just happen to have the BEST babysitters in the world who can watch my kids for 4 full days while Nathan & I vacation. Sweet!

Let me mention that when I was on Delta's website shopping for tickets, I had to refresh the page. Then the flight that I most desperately wanted DISAPPEARED. I called Delta. Apparently, if you call Delta for help, your call lands in Jamaica.
The reception was poor and I couldn't understand most of what they said... but I'm pretty sure they got us flights to Vegas (or remote Africa, but whatever). The conversation started sounding like this:
Jamaican: "That's G as in God." (*insert static & strong accent*)
Amber: "D as in dog?" (*insert crying baby in background*)
Jamaican: "No, G as in God."
Amber: "D as in doll? Huh?"
*sigh* It was a long conversation.
Lesson learned: Don't make a call to Jamaica if your entire transaction consists of letters and numbers like flights, times, credit card numbers, and spelling out email addresses.

So...... after a very difficult phone conversation, we have our flights.

And, now we have our hotel reservations too. Luckily, I didn't have to call Jamaica for this. Check our place out. We can say we've been to Vegas... and Paris, all in one trip.

So, here's to Vegas!!
It will be our first time there so send me your 'must see' ideas and tips!!!!!! I can't wait to post about our trip in a few weeks! Vegas, baby!

Super jealous! I've been to Vegas 2 times, no maybe three. Anyway. You must do the Big Shot on top of the Stratosphere, I know you are a thrill seeker at heart. Gondola ride at the Venetian. Watch the water show at the Bellagio. Eat some Krispy Cream donuts because they are everywhere. I'll stop because I'm sure this is all already on your list. Have a blast!

When we went, I loved going into the Bellagio (i think it was that one) and seeing their huge indoor garden and really cool chiluli art. Also, we saw Monty Python by getting tickets through one of the discount places that are everywhere. I also loved the old strip up north. Lots of old neon...we did a tiny bit of blackjack playing at the Golden Nugget and the guy running the table was SO nice. Loved it. I agree on the Krispy Cremes. They're everywhere!

Hello, blog readers! I am blogging live from the hospital with Nathan as my guest blogger. I was having contractions at home so we were sent to the hospital around 10pm for observation. I was dilated to 3cm when I arrived. Kennedy's Corner: The BIG FIVE

Happy birthday, Kennedy!!!!      To our sweet & fun girl! She's 5 today!  She LOVES to dress up whether it's jewelry, fancy clothing, or princess stuff.   Here's her latest-- a pink fur coat and sequins skirt.   Classy! She's nurturing.  She loves playing "mommy" to her baby dolls and caring for other people.  She loves to sing ( and I mean constantly ).   She is thoughtful and compassionate and loves to pray for others.  She can be headstrong and difficult too (just like her mother) but we're working together on that!    She goes to Pre-K 5 mornings a week and loves her teacher and school.   Her favorite foods are cheese quesadillas, pepperoni, and Ritz crackers.   Her favorite show is Curious George.   She's also obsessed with dogs whether it's pretending to be one, begging us to buy one, playing with a toy one, or asking every stranger in the city if she can pet th...
