Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding

I've found a new recipe that I love.  It's quick.  It's easy.  And, it's a big hit when I take it places.  It would be a crime if I didn't pass this along.   Really.

This is Paula Deen's recipe and a photo from her website (LINK):

She calls it "Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding."

Here's the recipe.

Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding

Ingredients:
1 12-ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
2 cups milk
1 5-ounce box instant French vanilla pudding
6-8 bananas, sliced
2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies

Directions
Line the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.
In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.  12 servings.

Amber's Notes:  2 bags of cookies work.  However, I think it really needs 2 1/2.  So, I buy 3 packages and we eat what's leftover.  No harm done.  Also, I have a hard time finding the 5oz box of pudding.  I just use 1 1/2 of the smaller boxes.

It sounds ho-hum until you taste it.   Then it will change your life.  Promise.
