I'm A Winner!!

It's been a long time since I last won a contest.

Here I am with my WINNING coloring contest paper and how I used my big prize money.  (I still like to rub this in my brother's face when I can....)

But, 30+ years later, I'm a winner again. 
 Yesterday I saw a contest for Gigi's Cupcakes (yummy, delicious, fancy cupcake bakery/cafe).   LINK 
 
They showed this photo with the photobombing horse
 
and asked people to come up with a caption for it.  The caption with the most "likes" on Facebook would win a 4-pack of cupcakes.  And, here's the catch:  the caption needed to involve talk of cupcakes or specifically Gigi's Cupcakes.   It was harder than it sounded.

My entry was simple:   "I just carried you for miles, listened to your boring stories, then you leave me out of group pictures. The next stop had better involve Gigi's Cupcakes."

Then I made a desperate plea to my friends asking them to vote for my caption.  My brother even voted for me despite my nah-nah-nah-nah-boo-boo attitude with my past winnings.

And, I won!  Here are my winnings.  This photo does not do them justice.
I picked two chocolate ones, lemon, and wedding cake.  

I've tasted them all.  They are absolutely delicious.   Jeff, I'd totally share my winnings if you lived closer.

And.... I'll be reporting to the gym first thing tomorrow morning!!   Winner, winner!!

Oh, I'm so sure you would have shared... you picked them up one exit down from where I work... Anyway, thanks for buying me those plastic army-man-like cowboys and Indians play set with some of your coloring contest winnings so long ago...

Hello, blog readers! I am blogging live from the hospital with Nathan as my guest blogger. If anyone is awake out there, you can feel free to check out my blog for updates throughout my hospital visit. I was having contractions at home so we were sent to the hospital around 10pm for observation. I was dilated to 3cm when I arrived. Kennedy's Corner: The BIG FIVE

Happy birthday, Kennedy!!!!      To our sweet & fun girl! She's 5 today!  She LOVES to dress up whether it's jewelry, fancy clothing, or princess stuff.   Here's her latest-- a pink fur coat and sequins skirt.   Classy! She's nurturing.  She loves playing "mommy" to her baby dolls and caring for other people.  She loves to sing ( and I mean constantly ).   She is thoughtful and compassionate and loves to pray for others.  She can be headstrong and difficult too (just like her mother) but we're working together on that!    She goes to Pre-K 5 mornings a week and loves her teacher and school.   Her favorite foods are cheese quesadillas, pepperoni, and Ritz crackers.   Her favorite show is Curious George.   She's also obsessed with dogs whether it's pretending to be one, begging us to buy one, playing with a toy one, or asking every stranger in the city if she can pet th...
