RIP Tootsie
Tootsie was born in December 2001 and we adopted her from an animal shelter the following spring. She was always very skittish and was often bullied by our other cat, Oliver. She finally started coming out of her shell when Oliver was put down a few years ago.
She was known for her very loud meows and purrs. She recently started letting the kids pet her if they'd give her a can of treats. She was getting brave in her old age.
She was also a good hunter and took care of most of our spiders & bugs... and an occasional mouse. She'll be remembered for the mouse incident of 2010 where she forgot to kill the mouse before bringing it to me (LINK to that embarrassing story).
Unfortunately, we had to put Tootsie down yesterday. It was a sad day at our house, especially for Keegan.
She brought a lot of fun and joy to our family!
On the bright side, we are enjoying a new pet-free home and looking forward to finally cleaning the carpets!!
