Christmas In October: Gift Ideas #16-20

Merry Christmas in October!! Here is our 4th installment of gift ideas for 2011!

We do this on the 25th of every month. Here are the links to the first 3 installments in case you missed them:
July (LINK) August (LINK ) and Sept (LINK).

Enjoy this month's 5 ideas!

16. FOSSIL WATCH. One thing your spouse can't live without is a Fossil Watch (LINK). They have a wide variety of styles from dressy to sporty. I got Nathan one for Father's Day. My favorites are in the $90-$135 range but there are also ones more or less.

17. WILLIAMS-SONOMA CROISSANTS (LINK). I have to admit I have never had these myself. But I've always wanted to! They have a fabulous reputation & even made Oprah's list one year. .Maybe this will be the year for us.
You'll get a set of 15 delivered frozen to your door for $39.95. You simply allow them to rise overnight when you want them, and then bake them. They have chocolate ones too. Has anyone tried these? Let us know your verdict! I'd love for these to arrive to my door as a gift (hint, hint, readers!)!

18. KEURIG COFFEE MAKER (LINK). For the spouse that goes to Starbucks too much, get them a K-Cup machine!
We love ours. It makes individual cups of coffee (or tea, cocoa, cider....) and there's no mess to clean or filters to dump. I'm a big fan of a contained mess. Target has a variety of machines to pick from ($100-$180). Or, shop at Bed, Bath, & Beyond and be sure to use a 20% off coupon!

19. ADVENT CALENDAR. This would be a good gift for a whole family. You could even fill it with goodies yourself and give it to them early to use this year.
I like this one from Land of Nod (link) for $35.
You'll find them with a variety of prices. Target has inexpensive ones that I've purchased before ($20-30). I just saw a cute one at Marshalls too. Or, if you're Daddy Warbucks, you can splurge on one like this from Pottery Barn Kids (link) for $99.
Etsy also has a wide variety of homemade ones (link). You can purchase one or use their ideas to make your own using small containers. There are a lot of ways to be creative with this if you're crafty and on a budget!

20. Samaritan's Purse Donation. This is a Christian organization that allows you to give a gift donation in someone's name. You can pick specific items from their gift catalog (LINK) that will help people in 3rd world countries. One year I bought a dozen baby chicks in my grandma's name to give a family who will use the eggs for meals and for income. You can buy things such as blankets, mosquito nets, milk, water filters, livestock, fruit trees, clothing, and so forth. The prices are as low as $5 (milk).
I made my own card when I did this and did not include my grandma's address when I donated (to avoid giving her the gift of future junk mail). I also think this would be a great gift for the kids and a great opportunity to teach them about giving!

So, Merry Christmas in October!! And, if you can't tell.... I'm running out of ideas! Feel free to send me your own fabulous gift ideas! Last 5 ideas to be published Nov 25th!
