Hello! It's only Wednesday but I feel like we've done so much. On Monday we went to Pizza King down in Franklin. If you have kids who like trains, you should go! There is train that delivers your drinks right to your table! Keegan loved it. Here are some pics. Then on Tuesday Keegan had his occupational therapy for food. He tasted spaghetti noodles, a cracker with peanut butter, and some cheese-in-a-can while she was here! That's a big deal. He may not eat those foods again anytime soon, but it's big progress. Tuesday night we went with my parents to Mug N Bun. Mug N Bun is one of those places that you have to go once a summer. It's a 1960's drive-up type place that serves greasy food. They have the best onion rings in town and they also make their own root beer which they serve in big mugs. You can drive up, or eat outside (there is an area w/ a roof). Hello, blog-readers! Nathan & Keegan are napping so I thought I'd hop on the computer. Yesterday we had the privilege of going to the wedding for Jim & Laura, our church youth pastor & his new wife. The ceremony was nice and we enjoyed ourselves at the reception too. We had to leave before cake was served though, so props to Marguerite for saving us some!!!!!!!! She is our new favorite superhero! Then we went to Nathan's parent's house so that Keegan could swim in their wading pool. I use the term 'swim' loosely as he did not want to get wet. He also refused to run through the sprinklers and just yelled, "No wet! No wet!". He is mama's little neatfreak (we are working on loosening him up!). Most importantly, Keegan hit a major milestone today. Quite possibly more important than any of his other milestones like first steps or first words..... was his first game of Candy Land!!! Hello, all! We've had quite the week. Without saying too much, I'll tell you that Nathan & I have been through a big trial this week and it's still not over. I might be able to tell you more someday or in person, but I can't write about it on the internet now. Anyway, that's why I haven't been updating my blog this week. On a lighter note, we went to the Marion County Fair last night. I didn't have my camera and we missed lots of Kodak moments. Keegan rode a pony and also played a fishing game to win a prize. He also rode his first ride. It was one of those rides where all the kids sit in various vehicles (each vehicle has about 6 steering wheels, but each kid thinks THEY are the one driving) and it just goes in circles. Keegan would not stay seated and he's too small for the seatbelts to help, so the carnies made Nathan ride too. What a sight! On Saturday, our Birthday Club (to be explained further down) got together to celebrate Jennifer's 30th birthday!!!! We are an exclusive club of 5. Four of us went to youth group together way back in high school. The other one married into the group later on (her husband was in our youth group). It is a FABULOUS group. Now, because we are so busy in life these days, we seem to only have time to get together for birthdays which we make extra fun. Jennifer & I are a little embarrassed to use the term "Birthday Club" but we were lectured about it and told to use the name loud and proud. I don't have much new going on except we went back to the Hancock Co Fair last night. Tomorrow night I'm having Mel, Lisa, Mindy, and Jennifer over to celebrate Jennifer's 30th birthday!!!!!!!! I'm sure I'll post pics of that later; we have some fun surprises in store for her. I just want to give a shout out to the people who actually read this blog. I have no idea if people read this except Mariah and Tabitha because they told me so (plus, Tabitha keeps me in check with my language in case the rest of you didn't catch my dirty little typo....ha). Hello! Well, it's our favorite time of year for Nathan & me. FAIR SEASON !!!!!!!!! If you don't know this, Nathan & I are BIG fair fans. We love both the county fairs and State Fair. We don't go as often as we used to now that we have Keegan, but I'd say we go our fair share (no pun intended). If you don't know this about us, then really you don't know us! :) We went to the Hancock County Fair Monday night. We will try to go one more time probably before it closes later this week; then the Marion County Fair starts in a day or two as well. Each county fair is different and unique in its' own ways. They each have a different stereotype of people and each have different foods and food qualities. If you need to know which fair (and specifically, which vendor's booth) has the best of something, we're the people to ask. The Hancock Co fair is one of my favs because it has free parking and free admission, so we can just stop by whenever! They also ...

We spent Thurs-Sat in Kentucky for a family reunion (Nathan's mom's family). It was a 3-day reunion at Lake Cumberland. We spent a lot of time with family. It was nice but it's good to be home! I just thought I'd share some pictures! Here I am fishing. My friend, Jennifer, her mom (Lois), and I went to a big antique show in Ohio today. We love looking for treasures. I found 2 treasures today: This is an old scale that I just thought would be fun to decorate with in my kitchen. It's currently above my kitchen cabinets. These are old post office box doors. They need cleaned up still, so imagine them cleaned up. :) I am going to try hanging them on the wall next to an old elevator plaque that I found awhile back (the panel inside the elevator that has all of the floor numbers.... it's from the 1920's). I hope I can get the pieces to work together. Anyway, here are the PO boxes from today: Hooray for today's treasures!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to share some pics of Keegan from today!

Keegan has eaten like a champ this week! He has tasted several new foods, which is a really big deal for us. I think his occupational therapy is helping. He tasted (and won't necessarily ever eat again): cherry tomatoes & green peppers (his first-ever veggies!), spaghetti noodles, bbq fritos, and fresh pineapple. I'm excited about the progress we've been seeing with him! Meanwhile, Keegan's also become quite the little insomniac. We moved him from his crib to a bed around Memorial Day. It went well for a week so we thought it was an easy transition. Then... he figured out that he could get OUT of his bed on his own. Oops. Not only is bedtime difficult, he's just about done taking naps too (he used to nap 2-3 hours a day). He still NEEDS a nap, but I can't get him to stay in his bed. After about a 2-hour exhausting process, I usually give in and let him go without a nap (and pay the fussy consequences later). The worst part for us now is that he...
