Two Months!

Image
Savannah will be 2 months old this week! She is such a sweet baby and definitely the easiest baby we've had so far. She's a good eater and sleeper (only up for one feeding a night now!). She's also smiling now which just adds to the sweetness. Kennedy just loves Savannah and wants to help with everything. Just recently I left the room and came back to find Savannah with a bowl of Captain Crunch, courtesy of her big sister. Here they are together in their matching shirts: We are so blessed!

Mantel Idea Gone Bad

Image
Back in September, I blogged about finding this treasure ( LINK ). It's an antique mantel that my friend, Jennifer, talked me into buying. Once I got it home, I fell in love with it ( I should always trust Jennifer when antiquing). It's teal and has a lot of good detail to it: It took me a long time to finally get it hung in our living room........ And, now I've needed something to hang in the middle of it. I need your help. I came up with the idea to hang twine across it and hang photos on the twine using tiny clothespins. I did this..... and I am NOT loving it . I think the photos are too small (the mantel is in a corner and you can't see it up close), and it's just too 'flat'. It sort of reminds me of birthday party decorations instead of something meant to decorate a house. So...... this is where you come in. I need your ideas!!!!!!!! What can I hang in the middle of this mantel? Please comment with your suggestions! If I choose your idea, y...

Spring Has Sprung!

Image
I just love when our tulips bloom each spring. They make me smile. Beautiful, vibrant colors. All God's handiwork. I especially love the ones that grow diamonds (I like to put my ring in flowers for photos... is that weird?). We also have a mama robin in our fence this spring. Well, I assume it's a mama; I haven't actually checked. I can watch her from my kitchen window while I wash dishes. This one is a little blurry because I was afraid to get closer. She's cute and all, but I'd hate for her to peck on my head. Spring is in the air!

Savannah, 6 Weeks

Just sharing some new pictures from the weekend! Savannah will be 6 weeks this week. Two out of three kids were happy..... so we'll take it!

More New Inventions

Image
I've been thinking up some new inventions . Let me know if these are Shark Tank worthy ( love that show! ). 1) Dry erase headboard. This has to be my favorite. I always have good thoughts when I go to bed or even in the middle of the night. What if our beds had a headboard that was dry-erase? I'd write down facebook status ideas, honey-do lists, groceries I need to buy. You name it! 2) Baby bottle with temperature reading. The formula companies want you to throw away formula after it's sat out for an hour. How about going by temperature instead and having either bottles with a temperature gauge, OR some type of thermometer that clips onto bottles and you can transfer it from bottle to bottle. I'm sure we'd be able to keep formula longer instead of throwing it out just to be safe! 3) Designer toilets. Why do toilets have to be white? Why not coordinate them with your shower curtain or wallpaper? They would look clean longer if they had color...

APRIL FOOLS!

Nathan really is selling his motorcyle...... but there will be no upgrades. No matching bikes. And, no pink helmet for me! Happy April Fools!

Biker Mama

Image
If you didn't know this about me, I love to ride motorcycles . That's right.... I'm a closet biker chick. It started when I was little, when I got my CHIPS motorcyle: I was cool on that bike. So free and wild with my boyish haircut blowing in the wind-- as I pedaled down the driveway. Then I married Nathan, my biker man. Here is Nathan & Keegan on his first motorcyle in 2006: Born to be wild, right?: So, if you're on Facebook with us, you've probably seen that Nathan is selling his motorcyle. Many of his friends have teased, wondering if it's because he's traded in his 'manhood' for a minivan. Not so, my readers. Rather, he is UPGRADING . And, here is my big announcement . For our 10 -year anniversary, we decided to buy a matching set of motorcyles so we can ride together! That's right! It's the perfect hobby we can do together! We think it will be fun to ride to county fairs together on the open road this summer. Here is ...
