Celebrity Fridge

Image
If you've ever seen Rachel Ray's magazine, she always does a Celebrity Fridge section. This is where she shares a photo of a celebrity and their fridge and then interviews them about what she sees in it. Their fridges are always well organized and overflowing with fresh fruit and veggies or tofu treats. Jillian would love them . Here are two samples from the magazine. Alicia Silverstone & Elisabeth Hasslebeck. Aren't they perfect? I enjoy fridgewatching. You can really get to know someone by looking in their fridge or medicine cabinet. I remember opening my friend, Andrea's, freezer and finding panty hose. That's right, I said panty hose in the freezer. I love it. So..... I bet you are wanting to see MY fridge, right? This is actually a little humbling. I'd almost rather you see my underwear. But, the fridge it is. Here's the freezer: Have you ever seen so much processed food in your life? There's bulk meatballs and sausage links all ...

17 Months!

Image
Kennedy turns 17 months old this weekend. She continues to be a sweet girl but her wild side is coming out more and more. I think instead of the normal update, I'm just going to post photos from this month. I think the photos describe her perfectly.......... sweet & wild ! Happy 17 months, Kennedy!

Limited Edition: Oreos with DQ Blizzard Creme

Image
If you're a regular on here, you know that I love to buy foods that say LIMITED EDITION . This week I saw the new Oreos with Dairy Queen's Blizzard Creme. I couldn't pass them up. They are in celebration of the Blizzard's 25th birthday. The fact that I'm older than blizzards made me feel a little old, but then again I still remember when DQ had the fun Dennis the Menace cartoons on their cups. I loved those cups!! So, here's the scoop on these new limited edition Oreos...... don't buy them . First of all, you get 9 less cookies in the package but pay more than regular Oreos ($2.99). Normally I don't mind paying a little extra for a special flavor, but this wasn't worth it. Secondly, they do not taste like Oreos or Blizzards . It's sort of an unusual creme in the middle with tiny Oreo crumbs in it. It has an flavor that I can't quite put my finger on. They aren't bad and certainly we will eat the entire package. But, I als...

Drum Roll........BIG WINNER

Image
I'm sure some of you stayed up ALL NIGHT in anticipation of today's FIRST. EVER. GIVE AWAY. winner announcement! I learned a few things in doing this. 1) Some of you are procrastinators . Not to mention names ( Craig ), but 11:32pm? :) 2) Some of you really are crazed stalkers . You don't even know me but you want to read about my life? I'm flattered but I also find it funny. I mean, really, I don't lead an exciting life. Thanks for stalking me! I love it! 3) People will enter contests even if they don't know what the prize is . Maybe the prize should have been " Cleaning my toilets!! ". Joke's on you, right?! 4) Some of you are closet readers . That's right. You read but are afraid to comment on my actual blog. You'll email me, leave me Facebook notes, or tell me to my face.... but won't admit it publicly by leaving a blog comment . I call you closet readers. Your names did not get entered. Cheaters never win...

HAPPY 300th Blogiversary!!!

Image
THIS is my official 300th blog post !!! Now, I actually think a couple of you have read every post. If they each take approximately 2 minutes to read, then you've lost TEN hours of your life on my blog. I'm so sorry . My favorite post was when Nathan & live-blogged the birth of Kennedy ( link ). For those of you who missed it, we literally blogged from the hospital with live updates all throughout labor and delivery. You blog readers were right there with us (that's sounds almost creepy now that I just typed that out). All we were missing was live video feed, right? Well, in honor of this random 300th blog entry.... I have a surprise ! That's right.... my very first Amber Waves of Grain GIVE AWAY . It won't be a car ; Oprah already did that. It won't be a child ; they are already up for auction on ebay. It will simply be a SURPRISE GIFT that best represents me. Oh, and it will be cheap ..... because again, I'm no Oprah. Here...

My New Wig

Image
I love when Keegan makes me things. It's worth more than something bought with money. This week he made me a Mother's Day card at school. Here's the outside where he wrote his name in the squares: Here's the inside. The teachers had him answer some questions about me: Here they are in case you can't see the small font. -My mom is " 4 " years old. (hey, I'll take it!) -My mom is the prettiest when " she puts her dress on ". -My mom likes to make " pizza ". -My mom always says " to obey ". -My mom is funny when she " tries to put a wig on ". I should add that Keegan has never seen me put a wig on so that answer made me laugh. I'm not sure where he got that one from. He must have heard another kid give that answer.... which makes me wonder what mom in the class wears wigs!? I might have to tug on a few mom's ponytails next time I go to pick him up. The other big news is that my very next blog will be m...
